Privacy Policy for NVH Source Locator

This Privacy Policy describes how EVDiag ("we," "our," or "us") handles information in connection with the NVH Source Locator mobile application ("the App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Information We Process

Information You Provide

• Photos: When you capture photos for sensor placement annotations, the photos are processed and stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
• Measurement data: Sensor positions, calculation results, materials, and other measurement inputs are stored only on your device.
• Voucher codes: When you enter a voucher code, it is verified locally on your device using cryptographic hashing. The code itself is not transmitted to us.

Information from Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services to process in-app purchases. The specific services depend on which platform you use the App on:

iOS users:

• Apple App Store: Apple processes payment information when you make a purchase through the App Store. See Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
• RevenueCat: On iOS, we use RevenueCat to verify and manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat may receive anonymous device identifiers and purchase status. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.

Android users:

• Google Play Store: Google processes payment information when you make a purchase through Google Play. The App uses Google Play Billing directly, with no third-party intermediary involved in purchase verification. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not receive your name, email address, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information from these services. They provide us only with confirmation that a purchase has occurred and the status of your entitlements.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers
• Your location
• Your contacts, calendar, photos library (beyond ones you take with the App's camera), or other apps' data
• Cookies or similar tracking technologies
• Analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics
• Advertising identifiers

Device Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions:

• Camera: To capture photos used for annotating sensor placement. Photos remain on your device.
• Internet: Required to verify in-app purchases through Apple, Google, and (on iOS) RevenueCat.
• Storage (Android only): To save annotated photos and PDF reports to your device.

These permissions are used only for the stated purposes. You may revoke permissions at any time through your device's system settings, although some App features may not function without them.

Data Storage and Security

All measurement data, photos, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. When you uninstall the App, your data is removed by your device's operating system through its standard uninstallation process.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete in response to a data subject request. For information held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat in connection with your purchases, please refer to those companies' privacy policies and contact procedures.

If you have purchased the Pro Unlock and wish to receive a refund, please contact Apple (for iOS purchases) or Google (for Android purchases) directly through their respective stores.

Children's Privacy

NVH Source Locator is a professional engineering tool intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us through the App, please contact us at service@evdiag.net so we can address the concern.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App, or applicable law. The Effective Date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently updated. Significant changes will be communicated through App Store and Google Play update notes or through the App itself.
